The partners of MAAA have been involved in the defense of professional liability matters, including medical and dental malpractice, legal malpractice, claims of breach of fiduciary duty and representation of lawyer clients at administrative tribunals for over 25 years. In addition, MAAA has represented medical care providers, real estate and insurance brokers and agents, municipalities and school districts and accountants in claims arising out of professional malpractice and negligence.
John McManus, Steven Ateshoglou and MAAA’s senior associates have been privileged to be accepted as panel counsel for every professional liability insurer that has been endorsed by the New York State Bar Association dating to 1990 and have been on the cutting edge in the development of the evolving law of legal malpractice. In addition to the endorsed insurers, MAAA has been counsel of choice for many other professional liability insurers, both admitted and non-admitted, self-insured and uninsured professionals and law firms.
MAAA attorneys have a keen understanding of the financial and emotional impact that a malpractice claim can have on a professional’s practice, resources and finances and work tirelessly with their clients to minimize that impact and to keep them apprised at every stage of the representation. It has always been the goal of MAAA to seek resolution expeditiously in a cost effective manner in order to eliminate or minimize any adverse consequences to its clients and the attorneys of MAAA take great pride in consistently achieving that goal.
